Newport Juniors had to field an understrength team for the second time because of the unavailabilty of Athar Mehmood. Huw Davenport lost on board one and after a quick start debutant Luke West lost in an endgame situation on four. Two good wins from Jamie Allan and Mark Richards meant once again the juniors lost after defaulting board five.
